I'm getting better at driving a manual, although 3-on-the-tree is really weird. The truck requires so much more precision to shift correctly than most new cars I've driven. Oh, the engine makes somewhere below 50hp.

Well, my grandparents do. It's been in the family since new and is still 100% original excluding the hub caps. I was the one that convinced them to pull it out of their barn after sitting there since 1976. It's gone less than 10,000mi since 1966. Found some pictures of it:

i drive a 70's f100 with a three on the tree once. One time was enough!

The throw on the shifter is somewhere around 1.5 feet!

That is one impressive looking machine.
I'm quite digging the idea of a project truck. Something of a similar vintage.
